Alcohol Colour Black

11,00

Our Alcohol Colours are highly concentrated, vibrant, alcohol-based colours for retouching classical bowed string instruments. All colours are compatible and mixable in any proportion.

They offer immediate dissolution in alcohol or spirit varnishes and an extensive colour palette to match retouching requirements.

Before use, we recommend testing on pieces or parts of wood, like the instrument to be treated, to predict the colour tone that can be achieved in each case.

Application Guidelines

These are short, general indications. For more detailed instructions, please download the Technical Data Sheet available for this product.

&&
1

Prior to application, OW Alcohol Colours must be mixed with an alcohol-based varnish before application, as they do not form a film on their own.

&&
2

For retouching, apply one or several drops to the palette and mix the colours directly with a brush until the desired colour is achieved.

Each colour or colour mix can be directly blended on the palette with varnish for small touch-up operations. They can also be used to colour alcohol-based varnishes by directly adding the desired amount.

The high tinting strength of the colours should be considered.

&&
3

Allow it to dry at room temperature until it is dry and non-tacky.

It is not recommended to expose the instrument directly to sunlight or UV light, as the tones and intensity of the colours may be affected.
