Application Guidelines

These are short, general indications. For more detailed instructions, please download the Technical Data Sheet available for this product.

&&
1

Apply after the initial coloring stage of the wood fibers using Italian Golden Ground A+B or similar products.

Fondo Aureo penetrates the surface structure of the wood, consolidating the fibers and preparing the substrate for subsequent sealing and varnishing stages while preserving the acoustic and aesthetic characteristics of the instrument. Maintains the transparency and natural appearance of the wood.

&&
2

Before application, ensure that the surface is clean and free from dust.

Before applying the product, it is recommended to partially seal the end grain with a solution of mastic in a solvent (such as turpentine) to prevent excessive absorption of the product and unwanted darkening in these areas.

&&
3

Apply an even coat using a brush.

Allow the product to penetrate the wood pores.

Immediately after application, wipe the entire surface with a cloth lightly dampened with alcohol to remove any excess product from the surface.

Allow it to dry completely before proceeding with the next steps.
